Catch us on the last Wednesday of each month in 2026!
When: January 28 – February 25 – March 25 – April 29
Where: 201 S. Rosalind Ave Orlando Florida 32801 – Room 105
Your participation is vital in shaping the future of our community, and we appreciate your commitment to making District 5 stronger and more connected.
We’re excited to announce our slate of committees which work on issues of importance to the people of District 5.
These committees are:

Affordable Housing
This committee works on addressing issues relating to making housing more affordable, which includes public housing, renters assistance, and land use & zoning.

Homelessness
Homelessness is at an all-time high. This committee executes creative ideas and special events to make sure Orange County’s resources reach our unhoused neighbors.

Transit
This committee works to improve transportation options in District 5 by advocating for funding sources to make reliable buses and the expansion of rail across Central Florida a reality.

Conservation
This committee is focused on environmental conservation, including purchasing GreenPLACE properties, protecting our air & water, and animal welfare.
We want to ensure that everyone who wishes to participate is registered, so we can accommodate space accordingly. This event is open to the public, so feel free to invite neighbors and community members who may be interested. Our goal is to create a collaborative space where we can listen to community feedback, share updates from the District 5 Office, and have our advisory council help amplify important information on social media. Within each committee, we will also build working groups dedicated to research and policy development to support the District 5 Office in creating Commissioner’s reports and even ordinances to be voted on at the Board of County Commissioners.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to district5@ocfl.net.
We look forward to working together to make a positive change in our community!
